crank it to '11

i have decided to develop a weightloss/fitness brand entitled "cadenza". music is the core element to cadenza; from it's name "cadenza" or "cadenzo" an italian word meaning 'at your own speed, or your own method in pace, rhythm, or flare'. in this respect cadenza will cater more to the individual via a means of web media, and person-to-person consultation (either phone, email, or in person at the gym or studio where offered.)

direct competition of cadenza are aplenty. weight watchers, nike-dance, and zumba; among others. but where the other's lack - cadenza has a niche in the market not only for weightloss and dieting, but for strength, flexibility, and agility disciplines. (zumba and nike-dance lack a focus for strength, flexibility, or agility training.)

cadenza will have some ads in digital and print media, as well as radio. direct mail will be used as a means of communication and delivery of instructional media. for example, optical discs, pamphlets, and other materials will be shipped directly via united states postal service or private courier. some materials, such as brochures, will be available in gyms, fitness studios and other locations.

lastly, music is (once again) the heart of cadenza. this being said, most of the work will center around music-influenced design such as the logo, colors, arrangement of information, and training/fitness programs. for example, a collateral piece to the project will include an "app store screenshot" of cadenza mobile for ipod/iphone.

any inputs or thoughts on this design/idea would be greatly appreciated.

Thus far for my new company




these images are examples of current skis on the market. I will be modeling my new line off similar products, with a very different feel. naturally.

Part 1: Defining the Company


1. Type Skis (lame name, but I'm working on it, just pretend for now)

2. Type Skis are a new ski manufacturer who's sole purpose is to give skiers quality skis with a brand new look.

3. These skis will be geared towards both genders, and those who can afford them and like their look.

4. These skis will be sold first in the US, but if popular enough could go internationally.

5. Type Skis should give others a reason to comment on how much they like your skis, and give you a reason to ski more often.

6. I will send out a promotional magazine with the latest line, as well as stickers and a poster of the latest Type Skis.

7. With this project I hope to make a giant poster showcasing the most successful Type Ski design, as well as a magazine, stickers set and mini poster series for take home.

I would highly recommend skype ((http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/home). It's free and you can talk, or IM with anybody who has a computer. Even with people outside of the country. You can have a video conference with anybody who has a camera embedded on their computer. My id is: prof.yslee. Make an id yourself, it'll take a minute, and come find me!
